The sacrificial anode protects heaters, pool lights and rails due to galvanic corrosion and also protects bathers from the risk of electric shock.
4 feet of copper bonding wire is included. Suitable for either new or retro-fit installations.
The Sacrificial zinc anode protects heaters, pool lights and rails due to galvanic corrosion. 4 feet of copper bonding wire is included. Suitable for either new or retro-fit installations. The 2" standard pipe fitting can be reduced to fit 1.5" or 50mm pipe.
Zinc is a metal that gives up its metal ions faster than other metals in the pool, meaning the anode will erode instead of other metals (contained in lights, rails, heaters, ladders etc).
The sacrificial anode should be replaced after half of it has been eroded which should take approximately 2/3 years.
