Automatic Swimming Pool Cleaners

All Swim sell a range of automatic pool cleaners to help simplify the process of keeping your pool clean all year round. Our range includes suction cleaners, hybrid cleaners and electric cleaners and all products are suitable for indoor and outdoor pools, with models available for concrete, fibreglass or liner swimming pools. Most are available from stock for next working day delivery (unless otherwise advised).

Suction cleaners rely on the circulation pump of your pool to provide a suction flow of water that allows them to move around the floor of the pool and suck up the debris. The performance of the cleaner will only be as good as the performance of the swimming pool circulation pump. Please note that these cleaners normally require a 0.75hp pump or higher.

Electric cleaners on the other hand work from a low voltage electricity supply and use their own power to move around the floor and the walls, as well as creating a vacuum to suck up the debris. The big difference between the two types of cleaner is that the suction cleaners send the debris to your sand filter (requiring you to backwash after cleaning the pool) whilst the electric cleaners trap the debris within the unit allowing you to empty the filtration compartment contained within them, because of this electric cleaners have the capability to trap much finer debris than the suction cleaners.

Hybrid cleaners are essentially suction cleaners as the debris still gets trapped in your filter but unlike traditional suction cleaners the incoming water drives a dynamo, which generates an electrical current and this electricity then drives the wheel motors and an electronic control system. This means it has a “brain” to use for finding its way around the floor of the pool, backwards and forwards.
