Chemical Safety and Hazard Warning Tips

Read instructions on each product thoroughly before use.
Never mix different chemicals, including cleaning products, weed-killers and chlorine products as a dangerous reaction may occur.
When pre-dissolving chemicals always add chemicals to water and never vice-versa.
Always pre-dissolve chemicals in a separate dedicated clean plastic container.
Always handle chemicals in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors.
Never use unlabelled chemicals.
Store chemicals in a secure, dry and cool place, in their original containers and away from any sources of ignition e.g. petrol.
Keep chemicals away from children and animals.
Never smoke whilst handling chemicals.
Avoid spillage. In the event of a spillage, clean up using clean receptacles and dispose of in the pool, swimspa or hot tub. Flush area thoroughly with a large volume of fresh water.
Before disposing of empty containers, rinse them thoroughly in the pool.
Always wash hands after handling pool chemicals.

What Is It?

Lo-Chlor Multi Stain Remover is the ultimate stain remover for all of your problem stains. Specifically designed to remove stains such as iron, copper, manganese, tannin and cobalt (black staining on fibreglass pools) and will also remove rust from the floor and walls of most pools.

Any pool owner who has staining in their pool.

What Does It Do?

Multi Stain Remover may be used to remove iron, copper and manganese stains from all pool surfaces.
Multi Stain Remover can also eliminate most scale deposits.

What Advantages Does It Have Over Other Similar Products?

Very easy and economical to use.
It may be used in all types of pool finishes.
An excellent general purpose stain treatment.

Directions For Use

1kg of Multi Stain Remover will treat up to 50,000 litres of swimming pool water.
Prior to application adjust pH to 7.0 and ensure all sanitiser levels are at 0 ppm (mg/l).
CAUTION: When using on coloured marble finishes or printed vinyl liners DO NOT allow direct contact with the pool surface. In these instances depending on the severity of the stain it is recommended that you -
Either: Pre-dilute the product in a clean plastic container and with the pump and filter running, evenly distribute around the pool.
Or: Place the product in a sock attached to a telescopic pole and hold near the stained area.
The product should be sprinkled directly over the stained area or evenly distributed around the pool with the pump and filter running.
IMPORTANT: Lo-Chlor No More Metal must be added to the pool water as soon as the stain appears to be lifting from the surface. This removes the dissolved metals which prevents re-staining.
Leave the pump and filter running for a minimum of 24 hours, thoroughly backwash the filter and resume normal filtration.
This stain treatment reduces both the pH and Total Alkalinity. After treatment the pool water must be rebalanced and sanitised.
When re-balancing raise the Total Alkalinity first. This must be done slowly over a period of days (maximum 20 pm per day). A sudden increase will buffer the metal ions out of solution resulting in re-staining.

General Precautions

Dosing

Wear eye and face protection and ensure granules are not blown back into your face.
Never mix with any other chemicals including cleaning products and chlorine products, as a dangerous reaction may occur.
Do not pour this product into a pool skimmer basket containing chlorine tablets or any other product.
When pre-dissolving product always add to water not vice versa.

Handling/Storage

Handle products in a well-ventilated area, preferably outdoors.
Wash hands after use.
Ensure chemicals do not become damp in storage - store in a cool dry place.
