Hekla saunas are crafted using Thermowood, an entirely natural material. Through a process of controlled heat and steam, our saunas achieve enhanced performance without the need for chemical treatment.

Hekla exclusively use certified Nordic Spruce sourced from sustainably managed Northern European forests. This thermally modified wood not only boasts a visually appealing aesthetic but also offers remarkable durability and stability compared to traditional timber. Additionally, all saunas come equipped with roof shingles to safeguard the structure and bolster insulation.

Why It’s So Effective?
Heats quickly, with less unused space the barrel design lets the heater do its job faster and more efficiently.

Distributes heat better -  In a barrel sauna, the heat is pushed back down the curved sides and into the sauna whilst new heat rises from the heater.

Saves energy as there is less unused airspace to heat, less energy is required to heat the room. The thick staves are excellent insulators, and the exterior of the sauna will remain cool to the touch.
